Over BUR

Built-up roofing (BUR) holds up for decades, but eventually the cap sheet ages, alligators, and starts to leak. A liquid-applied coating system rebuilds the waterproof membrane without tearing the roof off, often at a fraction of replacement cost.

For smooth or granulated BUR aged at least 30 days, the Premium Acrylic HydroStop system pairs with GAF Multi-Purpose Primer for a fully reinforced, fabric-embedded membrane (Miami-Dade NOA 21-0105.10, HVHZ-rated). For BUR with ponding-water conditions, GAF High Solids Silicone over Bleed-Block Asphalt Primer is the warranted solution (acrylic is not). Either path carries 10-, 15-, or 20-year warranty options depending on coverage rate.
