GAF Quick Set Acrylic Top Coat is an advanced acrylic elastomer coating that provides durability, reflectivity, and weather-proofing. The quick set formulation provides a more rapid skin-over time than GAF Acrylic Top Coat, which helps to prevent wash off from a light rain or dew in 30 to 60 minutes depending on ambient temperature and humidity.
Available in White and Light Gray.
Approved Substrates: New and existing Metal, SPF, TPO, PVC, Hypalon®, EPDM, Asphaltic and Concrete. New TPO and asphaltic roofs should be weathered for at least 30 days. Do NOT use on gravel-surfaced roofs or shingle roofs.
Application Instructions: Substrate Preparation: Roof must have positive drainage, and be clean and dry with no trapped moisture. Repair damaged membrane, flashings, and penetrations. Conduct test patches to verify adhesion of coating prior to start of work. Priming of substrate is recommended and may be required. See Liquid-Applied Roofing Manual at gaf.com. Mixing: Mix uniformly for 3 minutes prior to use. Do NOT attempt to thin or self-tint. Application: Apply by brush, roller, or airless sprayer evenly at the rates specified below. Do NOT apply more than 1.5 gallons per 100 ft² (6.1 L per 10 m2) in a single coat. Apply additional coats perpendicular to the previous coat once it is dry enough to walk on. Total coverage is dependent on the substrate.
