Description:
GAF PMMA Catalyst Powder, a reactive agent used to induce curing of GAF
PMMA Flashing Resin, is supplied as a white granular powder in pre-measured
packets. GAF PMMA Catalyst Powder is to be mixed with GAF PMMA Resin,
Paste, and Primer. BPO Benzoyl Peroxide.
Packaging:
GAF PMMA Catalyst Powder is available in a specially designed
vented box containing 10 premeasured (3.2oz) plastic bags.
A 1-tablespoon measuring scoop is included in each box.

Refer to applicable GAF Installation Guide and GAF PMMA Flashing Resin
Data Sheets for detailed application information, including mixing ratios for
specific products. Storage and Handling:
For specific information regarding safe handling of this material, please refer to
the appropriate Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
GAF PMMA Catalyst Powder should be stored in its box at all times until just prior
to use.
Always store in a cool and dry location.
Do not store in direct sunlight or in temperatures below 32°F (0°C) or
above 77°F (25°C).
Materials stored on the project site during application should be kept on a
pallet in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
In unshaded areas, materials should be covered with a white, reflective tarp in
a manner that allows for air circulation beneath the tarp.
Precautions:
GAF PMMA Catalyst Powder is stable if stored and used in accordance
with GAF guidelines.
GAF PMMA Catalyst Powder is heat sensitive and should be stored under
controlled conditions to ensure that the reactivity/effectiveness is not
compromised as well as for safety reasons.
GAF PMMA Catalyst Powder should not be exposed to temperatures in
excess of 122ºF (50ºC). Product exposed to temperatures in excess
of 122ºF (50ºC) may experience hazardous self-acceleratin decomposition.
Self-accelerated decomposition is signaled by the
presence of bright white smoke and the process can generate high
temperatures, depending on the environmental conditions and
quantity of product.
Shelf life:
6 months from date of manufacture.
